Digitising live lyric and narrative performance – resources

I’ve been working with the Federation of Scottish Theatre for the last year on an exciting Digital Action Research Project – 5 Scottish Theatre Companies have been undertaking digital development journeys and sharing the learnings as they plan, act and reflect along with the rest of the group (the action learning set). Associate (and digital content producing experts!) theatre companies National Theatre Scotland and Arts & Theatres Trust Fife have accompanied the other theatre companies on their journeys, offering support and advice.
All the case studies will be shared with AmbITion Scotland in July, when the project comes to an end, but for now, the Federation Scottish Theatre have agreed to share two of the resources the group commissioned me to write: a How To…Guide on digitising and monetising live recorded performance content; and a Research Report which gives an overview of the academic and professional research undertaken around the subject area of audience reaction to digitally recorded live theatre content.
