  1. Getting Digital Roadshow Central (Stirling)

    Ewan McIntosh

    University of Stirling

    27th May ’10

Register for AmbITion Scotland Getting Digital Roadshow Central (Stirling) on Eventbrite

This morning of the event will be broadcast live!

If you’ve not been to one of AmbITion Scotland‘s free day-long events focussed on digital development for the cultural sector, then here’s what to expect! A morning of thought invoking and idea inspiring talks and case studies, and an afternoon of hands-on workshops, where you learn about subjects like digital video, social media tools and Intellectual Property. Of course you get fed well and have lots of opportunities to network and debate with colleagues.

Each roadshow is in a different location (we’ve already been to Inverness and Dundee), and also each has a different subject focus and speakers. Stirling is focussed on digital development for education and learning functions.

The Stirling roadshow stars Ewan McIntosh (digital media and education expert, ex-4iP Scotland commissioner) – he’ll be exploring what lessons can be taken from other worlds, such as education, politics and health, that might show some new creative leads for arts organisations. Julia Fenby, Arts Development Officer at Learning Teaching Scotland has supported arts organisations to engage with schools through Glow (LTS’s online learning environment for the formal education sector). Julia will be telling us about an innovative demonstration project involving a number of arts organisations – including Visible Fictions – who have created new digital resources to support teaching and learning via Glow. Andy Catlin of unique Edinburgh music venue The Queen’s Hall will be sharing their story of developing digitally and outlining the benefits and implications for a small in-house team.

If you’ve been to a roadshow before, join us again for a new subject focus; if you’ve not yet taken the opportunity, do join us on 27th May!
